Payal Rohatgi Questions Rupali Ganguly’s Defamation Demand

Recently, Esha made multiple allegations against Rupali, sparking a social media storm. In response, Rupali filed a defamation case against Esha, demanding a compensation of Rs 50 crore. The controversy took another twist as actress Payal Rohatgi voiced her opinions on the matter.

Payal Rohatgi recently took to Instagram Stories to share her perspective, questioning Rupali’s actions and motives. Referring to Rupali’s relationship history with her husband, Ashwin K. Verma, Payal said, “I don’t know what your truth is, but you met Ashwin when he was already married, and you both were dating at that time. This is karma for what you did to his first wife.”

Payal went on to question Rupali’s decision to demand such a large sum in the defamation suit. “Why did you ask for so much money? Don’t you have enough? Do people working in TV serials understand what 50 crores means?” she wrote, suggesting that instead of focusing on a financial demand, Rupali should present evidence and resolve the matter in court.

The controversy began when Esha Verma accused Rupali of being controlling and manipulative, claiming she drove a wedge between her and her father, Ashwin. Esha, 26, is the daughter of Ashwin’s second wife, Sapna Verma, and often shares glamorous photos on social media. She had initially posted a video alleging mistreatment, which has since been deleted, and she has made her social media accounts private.

In her defence, Rupali stated that she chose to file the defamation suit to protect her reputation. She mentioned that although she initially stayed silent, she felt compelled to respond after her young son was drawn into the controversy.
