Pedro Pascal in Talks to Star in Tony Gilroy’s ‘Behemoth!’ After Marvel and Emmy Triumphs
After a whirlwind 2025 that saw him juggle Marvel blockbusters, A24 dramas, and Emmy-worthy TV, Pedro Pascal is proving once again that he’s Hollywood’s man of the moment. According to sources, Pascal is now in talks to lead Searchlight Pictures’ upcoming feature Behemoth!—written and directed by none other than Andor creator Tony Gilroy.
While the ink isn’t dry yet, insiders say Pascal is eager to join the project and negotiations are moving in the right direction.
Details about Behemoth! are still tightly under wraps, but Gilroy has teased in past interviews that the film’s story centers around a cellist—hinting at a deeply character-driven narrative. Gilroy will also produce alongside Sanne Wohlenberg, with principal photography slated to begin this fall in Los Angeles. Release plans remain under wraps, adding to the air of intrigue.
It’s been a remarkable year for the Chilean-born actor. In just a few months, Pascal starred in:
And he’s not done with Marvel yet—Pascal recently wrapped Avengers: Doomsday, due out in 2026. That same year, he’ll return as Din Djarin in Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu, marking a highly anticipated reunion for fans.
Pascal’s TV career is equally on fire. His portrayal of Joel in HBO’s The Last of Us has earned him back-to-back Lead Actor Emmy nominations, along with a Golden Globe nod and a Screen Actors Guild Award win for Season 1.
His diverse filmography also boasts recent roles in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator II, the anthology feature Freaky Tales, and Pedro Almodóvar’s short film A Strange Way of Life.
Behemoth! marks another high-profile project for Tony Gilroy, who is riding a wave of acclaim after the final season of Andor. The Star Wars spin-off earned stellar reviews, strong viewership, and an Emmy nomination for Best Drama—cementing Gilroy’s reputation as one of Hollywood’s top storytellers.
If all goes as planned, Behemoth! could become one of the most talked-about prestige films of 2026. With Pascal’s star power and Gilroy’s writing-directing pedigree, the project promises a fusion of cinematic intensity, artistry, and emotional depth—the kind of film awards seasons are built for.
