‘Percy Jackson And The Olympians’ Renewed For Season 3

March 15, 2025: Disney+ has officially renewed the fantasy series Percy Jackson and the Olympians for a third season, nearly a year ahead of the highly anticipated Season 2 premiere. The announcement was made by Disney Branded Television and 20th Television, confirming their commitment to further expanding the hit series based on Rick Riordan’s popular novels.

Season 3 will be based on the third book in the series, The Titan’s Curse, which continues Percy Jackson’s epic adventure with new characters and challenges. While fans eagerly await the premiere of Season 2 in December 2025, the renewal for a third season speaks volumes about the positive reception and popularity of the show, which has already gained a massive following.

Ayo Davis, the President of Disney Branded Television, expressed her excitement about the series’ success. “From the moment Percy Jackson and the Olympians debuted, it was clear this series had struck a chord with fans of all ages. With Season 2 set to premiere this December, we’re thrilled to announce that Percy’s journey will continue with a third season,” Davis said.

Rick Riordan, the creator of the Percy Jackson books, shared his enthusiasm as well. He highlighted the introduction of fan-favorite characters like the Hunters of Artemis and Nico di Angelo in the upcoming season, adding, “This third season will be new territory for the screen… It’s a huge sign of commitment from Disney and speaks volumes about the enthusiasm with which the fandom has embraced the TV show.”

The renewal comes as no surprise given the strong performance of the first season. Percy Jackson and the Olympians ranked among the top five most-watched original streaming series during its debut in December 2023. Disney reported that the first episode garnered 13.3 million views within the first six days on Disney+ and Hulu.

Season 2 will bring back the talented cast, including Walker Scobell as Percy, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood, Charlie Bushnell as Luke Castellan, Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse, and Daniel Diemer. The series is co-created by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg and is executive produced by a team that includes Dan Shotz, Rebecca Riordan, Craig Silverstein, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Bert Salke, and many more.

Fans of Percy Jackson and the Olympians can now look forward to an exciting continuation of the series with the upcoming third season after the release of Season 2 later this year.
