As heavy downpour wreaks havoc across Maharashtra, a viral video shows rainwater flooding the homes of Bollywood’s biggest stars, sparking a debate on social media.
Augist 20, 2025: Mumbai and the rest of Maharashtra are having a lot of trouble with flooding and waterlogging since it keeps raining. A viral video of rain soaking the houses of Bollywood stars demonstrates that even the richest people in the city have been affected.
A YouTuber named Sagar Thakur produced a bunch of films exposing how bad the waterlogged mansions of celebrities in Juhu were, notably Amitabh Bachchan‘s Prateeksha and the homes of the Devgn, Bachchan, Deol, and Chopra families.
A lot of people have been talking about the footage of Bachchan’s house, which shows unclean water pouring up to the front door. “The rain in Mumbai doesn’t care how much money you have.” The YouTuber said, “Not Ambani, not Amitabh Bachchan,” and many others on social media agreed. Someone said, “Mumbai always keeps you humble,” and other people asked for more help with the problems of the poor.
The rain has caused a lot more damage around the state. The most recent data suggest that 21 people have died in Maharashtra because of the rain. Nanded district is one of the worst-hit areas. The state emergency management department has also claimed that five persons are missing in the area.
The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) each have 18 teams working on the situation. These teams have been a huge assistance in rescue efforts, saving hundreds of people in the Mukhed region of Nanded.
Mumbai is still on orange alert, but the rain has gotten lighter since midnight, which is beneficial for the city. Some bus and train services have started up again, however they are running a little late.
