
Poonam Pandey: A Tragic Loss to Cervical Cancer
Well known and often searched celebrity, model and actor, Poonam Pandey is dead. She died of Cervical Cancer on Feb-2. She was all of 32 years.
Poonam Pandey’s team took to her social media account and shared the news. “This Morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that have lost our beloved Poonam Pandey to cervical cancer. Every living form that came in contact with was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief. We would request for privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we share.” (sic)
Poonam passed away at her residence in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur.
Poonam first garnered a lot of attention, when she promised to strip on-line, in case the Indian Cricket team won the World Cup. This was in the year 2011.
Although, she was unable to fulfil her commitment owning to legal and public pressure, she became an overnight Social Media celebrity.
Poonam was well known for her bold and sensuous photoshoots and boasted of a massive following on social media.
She often teased her followers with alluring pictures and a peek into her luxurious life.
Poonam Pandey is also known for her stint in popular reality TV shows including Lock Upp, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 4 and Bigg Boss Season 7.
She had also acted in Hindi & Telugu films. She made her acting debut in the Bollywood film “Nasha” in 2013, where she played the role of a teacher who becomes the object of a teenage boy’s infatuation.
While the film received mix reviews, she became known for her bold and daring personality. Pandey was a part of several controversies, primarily due to her provocative online content and statements, yet she remained very popular with the Indian Netizens.
