Post Malone Tumbles Off Stage at Guwahati Concert
The American singer lost his footing while rushing to meet fans, in a viral video that captured the moment quick-thinking bouncers helped him back up.
December 10, 2025: American singer Post Malone headlined his first solo concert in India on Monday in Guwahati, Assam, delivering an “electrifying” show that quickly generated mixed reactions online, ranging from concern over a viral on-stage fall to serious claims of harassment.
The concert, held at the Khanapara Veterinary Ground, was organized under the state government’s new ‘concert tourism policy’ and attracted thousands of enthusiastic fans.
A video of the singer taking a tumble while attempting to greet fans near the edge of the stage quickly went viral. The clip showed Malone losing his footing as he stepped down from the main platform.
Fortunately, quick-acting bouncers immediately helped him up, and the singer was able to continue interacting with his audience. Fans on social media expressed worry, with one commenting, “Damnnn.. that might have hurt a lot.” Another netizen humorously pointed out: “The fall was nasty… But the drink 🥤 never spilled… #ultralegend Cheers @postmalone.”
A major highlight that touched the local audience was Post Malone’s heartfelt tribute to the late Assamese music legend, Zubeen Garg, who passed away in September 2025.
Pausing his performance, Malone addressed the massive crowd, saying, “To be in the home of the great legendary Zubeen tonight ladies and gentlemen. I just hope everyone’s having an amazing f***ing day and an amazing night. My name is Austin Richard Post and I’ve come to play some street songs.”
The acknowledgement of Zubeen Garg, a cultural icon who sang in dozens of languages and dialects, drew loud cheers and positive feedback from the people of Assam, who appreciated the unexpected and thoughtful gesture.
The enthusiasm of the concert was overshadowed by serious claims of harassment made by at least one foreign attendee. A video posted on social media featured a woman alleging that she and her friend were subjected to unwanted touching in the dense crowd.
She captioned her post, questioning the safety of women at concerts in India: “Last night at the Post Malone concert in Guwahati things turned serious very quickly. As two women in the crowd, both me and @amina_finds were touched without consent within minutes of entering the packed area.”
The incident casts a shadow on the event, which was aimed at positioning Guwahati as a premier entertainment destination under the new state policy. Authorities have yet to comment on the harassment claims.
