After a thunderous ₹54 crore opening, the horror-comedy struggles with poor word-of-mouth; Hindi market remains cold as Sunday collections become crucial for the ₹400-crore project.

According to early trade estimates from Sacnilk, the film collected ₹27.83 crore across all languages on Day 2, bringing its total two-day domestic net to ₹90.73 crore. While the film is on track to cross the ₹100-crore mark in India today (Sunday), the steep Saturday decline has raised concerns among trade analysts regarding its long-term stability.

  • The New Content: Reports suggest the additional scenes focus on Prabhas’ character development and extra comedy sequences with the supporting cast.
  • The Goal: The makers hope these additions will address the “missing trailer scenes” controversy and encourage fans to give the film a second chance during the Sunday holiday rush.

Occupancy Watch: Sunday Morning Trends

As of Sunday morning, January 11, the film is seeing a slight uptick in advance bookings for evening shows in Telugu states (AP/TG), though Hindi occupancy remains stagnant at around 12-14%. The film’s Global Gross has reportedly crossed ₹138.4 crore, making Prabhas the only Indian actor with six career openers exceeding ₹100 crore worldwide.

What’s Next? The “Circus” Awaits

The end credits of The Raja Saab have officially confirmed a sequel titled The Raja Saab: Circus 1935. However, given the current polarized reception, fans are calling for a “creative overhaul” for the next chapter. On X (formerly Twitter), the hashtag #TakeABreakPrabhas trended briefly as some fans urged the actor to prioritize quality scripts and physical health over rapid-fire releases.
