Prakash Raj Posts Photo With Kunal Kamra, Mocks Shiv Sena Leader With ‘Tamil Nadu Kaise Pauchneka Bhai’ Jibe

April 13, 2025: Actor Prakash Raj has come out in support of stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Kamra’s recent stand-up act that targeted Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Kamra, who has faced death threats, an FIR, and legal action following his performance, found solidarity in Raj, who shared a photo of the two on Instagram with a pointed caption.

In the viral photo, both Raj and Kamra are seen twinning in black T-shirts. Alongside the image, Raj wrote: “How to reach Tamil Nadu brother? Simple… in an auto. Just asking.” The caption appears to be a cheeky jab at the controversial phone call Kamra received from a Shiv Sena member, which was part of a leaked audio clip.

In that clip, the caller is heard allegedly threatening Kamra over his parody act and demanding to know his whereabouts. Kamra responded by telling the caller to come to Tamil Nadu if he wanted to meet him face-to-face, sarcastically questioning, “How will you reach Tamil Nadu now, bhai?”

Prakash Raj’s post not only echoes Kamra’s sarcasm but also shows public solidarity with the comedian, highlighting broader concerns over freedom of speech, artistic expression, and political intolerance. Raj, who is known for being vocal about political and social issues, has once again used social media to take a stand in support of a fellow artist.

The controversy surrounding Kamra has sparked a wider debate in India about the limits of satire and criticism in a democracy. While Shiv Sena leaders demand an apology and have taken legal routes, many public figures and citizens continue to stand behind Kamra, defending his right to perform without fear or censorship.
