Preity Zinta “Heartbroken” Over LA Wildfires

January 12, 2025: Bollywood actress Preity Zinta recently expressed her heartbreak over the devastating wildfires that have been ravaging Los Angeles. She took to X (formerly Twitter) to share her emotions, describing the fear and uncertainty caused by the fires.

Preity, who is married to Gene Goodenough, a financial analyst based in LA, has been living between India and the US. She assured her fans that her family in LA is “safe as of now” despite the raging wildfires. She also expressed her gratitude towards the firefighters and fire department for their tireless efforts in controlling the disaster.

In her post, she described the difficult situation, noting that neighborhoods were being ravaged, with people either evacuated or on high alert. She highlighted how the ash falling from the skies resembled snow, and there was fear of the situation worsening if the wind didn’t calm down.

She continued, “I’m heartbroken at the devastation around us & grateful to god that we are safe as of now. My thoughts & prayers to people who are displaced & have lost everything in these fires. Hope the wind dies down soon & the fires are contained.”

Preity Zinta expressed her deep gratitude to all those working hard to save lives and property, adding, “A big thank you to the fire department, firefighters & everyone else helping to save lives & property. Stay safe everyone.”

Other Hollywood celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore, Billy Crystal, and Ricki Lake, among many others, have also been affected by the wildfires, losing their homes and property. Britney Spears also shared her experience on Instagram, revealing that she had to evacuate her home and was driving to a hotel for safety.

The wildfires in Southern California have taken a devastating toll, claiming the lives of at least 11 people and displacing countless others. Celebrities and locals alike have shown solidarity and urged the public to contribute to relief efforts, as the fires continue to wreak havoc.
