Preity Zinta Reflects On Her “Magical And Heartwarming” Visit To Maha Kumbh 2025

February 26, 2025: Actress Preity Zinta recently made a spiritual visit to the Maha Kumbh in 2025, where she took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. The actress, known for her roles in films like Kal Ho Naa Ho, shared a heartfelt reflection on her experience at one of the largest and most sacred gatherings in the world.

In her Instagram post, Preity described the visit as a blend of emotions: “Magical, heartwarming, and a bit sad.” She explained that it was magical because words could not capture the depth of her feelings during the visit. The moment was especially heartwarming as she was accompanied by her mother, which made the experience even more meaningful to her.

However, she also shared a somber realization during the visit. “Sad, because I wanted to be liberated from the various cycles of life & death only to realize the duality of life & attachment,” she wrote. Preity reflected on the strength of human attachment, admitting that, despite seeking liberation, she found it difficult to let go of her family, children, and loved ones. “Am I ready to let go of my family, my children & the people I love? No! I’m not!” she said in her post.

Her journey at the Maha Kumbh led to a deeply spiritual reflection on life and attachment. “It’s deeply moving & humbling when it dawns on you, that the strings of attachment are strong & mighty, and no matter what your attachment is, eventually your spiritual journey & the journey ahead is solo!” she continued. Preity ended her post with a profound note: “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience but spiritual beings having a human experience.”

Preity’s words reflect her spiritual journey, where she finds herself questioning life’s duality and the attachments that bind us to this world. She ended her message with a prayer: “Har Har Mahadev.”

Preity’s visit to the Kumbh comes after fellow Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif also visited the sacred event earlier. Katrina met Swami Chidanand Saraswati, President of Parmarth Niketan Ashram, and expressed her gratitude for being part of the experience. Like Preity, she shared her excitement about the energy and beauty of the event and took blessings from the spiritual leader.

Preity’s visit to Maha Kumbh 2025 has sparked a deep spiritual reflection, and her thoughts resonate with many who grapple with the balance between attachment to the material world and the desire for spiritual liberation.
