Prime Video Confirms The Traitors Season 2, Did You See That Coming?

June 25, 2025: Amazon Prime Video has officially renewed The Traitors for a second season, following the massive buzz and audience response to its dramatic first edition. Hosted by Karan Johar, the reality show has captured the imagination of viewers across India since its premiere on June 12.

Adapted from the BAFTA and Emmy-winning international format by IDTV, The Traitors is one of the fastest-growing reality formats globally, with over 35 local versions across more than 30 countries. The Indian adaptation has already reached 88% of the country’s pin codes, becoming a social media sensation for its mix of strategy, betrayal, and high-stakes drama.

Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India, expressed excitement at the show’s success:“It’s incredibly rewarding to see The Traitors strike such a powerful chord with audiences across India. The first season featured 20 celebrity contestants including Anshula Kapoor, Karan Kundrra, Uorfi Javed, Jannat Zubair, Jasmin Bhasin, Raftaar, and Raj Kundra. As of now, several players have been eliminated, while the identities of the traitors—Elnaaz Norouzi and Purav Jha—remain a secret to the rest.
