The eight-episode series is set to premiere on April 18 and promises to deliver a deeply atmospheric and emotionally charged take on horror.

Created and written by Smita Singh, Khauf follows the journey of Madhu, a young woman trying to escape her past as she begins life in a new city, seeking solace in a hostel. But her hopes for a fresh start quickly unravel as she becomes entangled in the city’s haunting secrets and a terrifying web of supernatural occurrences.

“Horror thrives on emotions and atmosphere,” said Smita Singh in a statement. “With Khauf, we created a story that is both unsettling and deeply human.”

Nikhil Madhok, Head of Originals at Prime Video India, shared his enthusiasm about the series: “Khauf elevates the genre with an intense, layered narrative that will plunge viewers into an abyss of fear.”
Producer Sarita Patil added, “What sets this series apart is Smita Singh’s ability to blend psychological depth with chilling suspense, keeping audiences questioning what’s real and what lurks in the shadows.”

Directed by Pankaj Kumar and Surya Balakrishnan, and produced under the Matchbox Shots banner, Khauf features a stellar ensemble cast including Abhishek Chauhan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, and Shilpa Shukla, alongside Kapoor and Panwar.

With its atmospheric storytelling and spine-tingling suspense, Khauf is poised to offer horror fans a gripping ride into the unknown.
