
Prithviraj Sukumaran Cherishes Rajinikanth's Feedback After Watching 'L2: Empuraan' Trailer
March 18, 2025: Prithviraj Sukumaran is gearing up for the much-anticipated release of his upcoming film, L2: Empuraan. The actor-director recently shared his excitement about the film’s upcoming release and revealed a special moment: superstar Rajinikanth was the very first person to watch the trailer.
Taking to Instagram, Prithviraj shared a photo of himself with Rajinikanth, who is known for his iconic presence in the Indian film industry. The actor expressed his gratitude for the feedback he received from Rajinikanth after watching the trailer, calling it a moment he would forever cherish.
In his post, Prithviraj wrote, “The very first person to watch the trailer of #L2E #EMPURAAN I will forever cherish what you said after watching it Sir! This meant the world to me! Fanboy forever! @rajinikanth.”
L2: Empuraan is the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer, which featured Mohanlal as the powerful character Stephen Nedumpally. The sequel will see Mohanlal reprise his role, while Prithviraj will return as Zayed Masood with an extended presence on screen. Directed by Prithviraj himself and written by Murali Gopy, the film has garnered much anticipation from fans of the first film.
The film is set to release on March 27, 2025, with the first show scheduled for 6:00 AM IST, and screenings will take place worldwide according to respective time zones.
The production of L2: Empuraan began in October 2023, with filming across multiple locations, including Faridabad, Shimla, Leh, the UK, the US, the UAE, and Kerala, to name a few. The film’s large ensemble cast also features Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Saniya Iyappan, Arjun Das, and others.
With the immense success of Lucifer in 2019, expectations for L2: Empuraan are sky-high, and fans are eagerly waiting to see how the story continues.
