Director SS Rajamouli officially welcomed Prithviraj Sukumaran to the cast of Globe Trotter (SSMB29), revealing the actor’s intense first look as ‘Kumbha,’ a “ruthless, powerful antagonist” set to clash with Mahesh Babu’s explorer.

November 7, 2025: The anticipation for director SS Rajamouli’s next magnum opus, the action-adventure film tentatively titled Globe Trotter (or SSMB29), reached new heights today as the filmmaker unveiled the first look of actor Prithviraj Sukumaran. Rajamouli confirmed that the Malayalam star has joined the cast as the film’s powerful villain, Kumbha.

Taking to his X handle, Rajamouli shared the striking poster featuring Prithviraj seated on a high-tech, automated wheelchair, sporting a stern, dangerous expression.

The reveal of a formidable villain further solidifies the film’s reported plot, which is an action-adventure epic. Recently, a report from Tanzania claimed that the film’s premise revolves around a “rugged explorer” (Mahesh Babu) fighting an enemy to protect a global secret.

The reported synopsis described the film as: “Inspired by Indiana Jones and African adventure classics, the film follows a rugged explorer who sets out on a high-stakes mission through uncharted terrain, battling nature, mystery, and a powerful enemy to uncover a long-lost secret that could change the world.”
