Director SS Rajamouli confirmed the film’s first major event on November 15 will be a “far beyond what we’ve done before” reveal, as he prepares to drop Prithviraj Sukumaran’s first look today and welcomes co-star Priyanka Chopra to India.
November 7, 2025: Anticipation for the massive cinematic collaboration between director SS Rajamouli and superstar Mahesh Babu (tentatively titled SSMB29) has reached a fever pitch.
On Friday, Rajamouli took to social media to drop a significant update, confirming a major reveal event next week and building excitement with a promise of actor Prithviraj Sukumaran’s first look coming later today.
“GlobeTrotter” Event on November 15
Rajamouli’s post on X (formerly Twitter) hinted at the scale and unique nature of the upcoming event, currently dubbed the “GlobeTrotter” event.
SS Rajamouli (on X): “Amidst the climax shoot on set with all three, there’s a lot more prep happening around the #GlobeTrotter event, as we’re trying something far beyond what we’ve done before…Can’t wait for you all to experience it on Nov 15th. Leading up to it, we’re filling your week with a few more things lined up. Prithvi’s look first, today…“
The grand title reveal event is set to take place at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad on November 15 at 6 pm, and will be streamed live on JioHotstar. This announcement follows Rajamouli’s earlier commitment to deliver a “NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN reveal” this November.
Priyanka Chopra Joins the Prep
The excitement is further amplified by the presence of co-star Priyanka Chopra in India. The global star recently shared videos on her Instagram Stories exploring Hyderabad streets and, most notably, tagged Mahesh Babu in the clip, subtly hinting at her involvement in the early pre-production or shoot-related activities for the film.
SSMB29 is a highly ambitious project, rumored to be an action-adventure set across the globe. Alongside Mahesh Babu, the film features Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles. Rumours reported by The Hollywood Reporter suggest the film could be titled “Varanasi,” as a massive set resembling the ancient city has been constructed at Ramoji Film City.
With Prithviraj’s first look expected later today and the title reveal less than two weeks away, the makers are officially kicking off the promotional activities for one of Indian cinema’s most anticipated releases.
