Director Says Arshad Warsi Remarks Left Him Hurt
January 6, 2026: Priyadarshan has expressed disappointment over Arshad Warsi calling his experience on Hulchul bad. The director said he was shocked by the claim and felt deeply hurt after reading the remarks adding that Arshad had earlier praised the response to his role after the films release.
The filmmaker recalled that Hulchul was a box office hit and said Arshad had personally thanked him for the appreciation he received. Priyadarshan said it upset him when the actor later referred to the film as a flop and insisted there was no reason for complaint.
Arshad Warsi earlier said he felt sidelined compared to what was promised and clarified it was not Priyadarshans fault. Despite the disagreement both have busy projects ahead with Priyadarshan working on Haiwaan and Arshad gearing up for Dhamaal 4 and Shah Rukh Khans King.
