Priyanka Chopra Celebrates Angelina Jolie’s Tony Win: ‘You’re a True Inspiration’

In a heartwarming display of camaraderie and admiration, Priyanka Chopra took to social media to congratulate Angelina Jolie on her remarkable success at the Tony Awards. Jolie’s production, “The Outsiders,” won the prestigious accolade for Best Musical, and Chopra’s heartfelt message added a personal touch to the celebration.

Priyanka Chopra, known for her roles in “Citadel” and other notable projects, shared a touching message on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday. She extended her congratulations to Angelina Jolie and her daughter, Vivienne, acknowledging their significant achievements. Alongside a candid snapshot from the event, which captured a celebratory moment between Jolie and Vivienne, Chopra wrote:

“Huge congratulations to this angel who deserves everything in life and more! Congratulations on winning the Tony for best musical for The Outsiders and also multiple awards and 12 nominations!! You’re a force and I’m so inspired by you everyday @angelinajolie. Congratulations Vivienne.”

“The Outsiders,” an adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s beloved novel, explores the dynamics of rival gangs in 1960s Oklahoma. Angelina Jolie served as a producer on the project, with her daughter Vivienne contributing as a producer assistant. This collaboration between mother and daughter added a poignant dimension to the production’s success.

According to Deadline, Jolie praised Vivienne’s involvement, stating, “She appreciates all theatre but she certainly knows what she feels close to and what she responds to. And then I had the privilege of watching everyone work over this last year to make it into what it is, and Vivienne has been there the whole way.”

At the Tony Awards event, Angelina Jolie graced the occasion in a stunning teal gown, elegantly paired with a matching shawl. Her 15-year-old daughter, Vivienne, complemented her mother’s elegance with a coordinated ensemble, comprising a white shirt, teal vest, and pants. The duo’s appearance underscored their strong bond and shared commitment to the arts.

Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is preparing for her next cinematic adventure, “The Bluff,” directed by Frank E. Flowers. Set in the 19th-century Caribbean, the movie follows the story of a former female pirate, portrayed by Chopra, who must protect her family when the sins of her past catch up to her. Produced by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO Studios and Amazon MGM Studios, “The Bluff” promises to be a thrilling and captivating narrative.

Priyanka Chopra’s celebration of Angelina Jolie’s achievement at the Tony Awards not only highlights the mutual respect and admiration between the two stars but also emphasizes the importance of recognizing and supporting each other’s milestones in the entertainment industry. Jolie’s win with “The Outsiders” and Chopra’s upcoming film “The Bluff” both represent significant contributions to their respective fields, inspiring fans and fellow artists alike.
