Priyanka Chopra praises Dev Patel for ‘Monkey Man’

Dev Patel is garnering acclaim for his directorial debut with the film ‘Monkey Man’. Recently, international icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas offered her praise for the actor-turned-director and his team.

On her Instagram Stories, she posted a clip from the film, applauding Patel with the caption, “Bravo #DevPatel. What an impressive debut!” She also acknowledged the contributions of fellow cast members Sobhita Dhulipala, Pitobash, Makarand Deshpande, and Vinit Kumar Sharma, who are all venturing into Hollywood with this project.

‘Monkey Man’ premiered at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre and has since been released in the US. The film is an action-thriller that chronicles the tale of a young man, played by Dev Patel, who seeks vengeance for his mother’s death at the hands of corrupt officials. His journey of retribution unexpectedly makes him a folk hero to the downtrodden, earning him the moniker ‘Monkey Man’.

The cast includes notable figures such as Sikandar Kher, Sharlto Copley, Ashwini Kalsekar, among others, with Patel not only leading and directing but also producing the film. ‘Monkey Man’ is anticipated to release soon in India, promising to be a significant addition to the action-thriller genre.
