Priyanka Chopra Reveals Near-Fatal Injury On Set: ‘Could’ve Lost An Eye’

June 20, 2025: Priyanka Chopra is gearing up for the release of her upcoming Hollywood action-comedy Heads of State, in which she plays a high-level MI6 agent assigned to protect two world leaders. The film stars John Cena as the US President and Idris Elba as the UK Prime Minister, and sees Priyanka in a physically demanding role filled with stunts, strategy, and high stakes.

While promoting the film on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Priyanka opened up about a scary on-set incident that nearly caused her a serious injury. The actor recalled a scene that required her to roll on a rain-soaked floor as the camera zoomed in closely.

“The camera has a matte box, and I was supposed to roll on the floor and fall, and it was raining,” she explained. “The camera was supposed to come in close to me. So the camera operator came in a little bit closer—I came in a little bit closer—and it took out a chunk of my eyebrow. Could have been my eye, so I was very grateful that it wasn’t.”

Not one to back down, Priyanka continued shooting. “I just put surgical glue on there, stuck it. Finished my day, because I did not want to come back and shoot in the rain again,” she added with a laugh.

Heads of State blends action, comedy, and political chaos, with Priyanka playing the glue between two unlikely allies in a global security crisis. The film marks another major addition to Chopra’s growing slate of international projects.

Fans have praised the first-look stills from the movie, especially Priyanka’s sharp, suited avatar as a no-nonsense intelligence operative. The film is set to premiere soon on Prime Video.
