Produced at ₹50 Crore, Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Deva’ Crosses ₹25 Crore Mark at Box Office on Day 6

February 6, 2025: Shahid Kapoor’s latest film Deva, directed by Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews in his Hindi debut, has crossed the ₹25 crore mark at the box office. The action-packed drama, co-starring Pooja Hegde, was released in theaters on January 31. According to early estimates by Sacnilk.com, Deva now stands at a total collection of ₹26.65 crore.

Box Office Performance:
The film opened to a ₹5.5 crore collection on its first day. The momentum picked up over the weekend with a 16.36% surge on Saturday, earning ₹6.4 crore. However, collections saw a sharp dip on Monday, with a 62.07% decline. On its sixth day, Deva earned ₹2.35 crore, marking its lowest single-day collection so far.

Shahid Kapoor’s Emotional Note:
Ahead of the release, Shahid Kapoor shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, reflecting on the dedication he poured into the project. Posting behind-the-scenes pictures, Shahid wrote, “One year of blood, sweat, and tears. 2024 was all DEVA! My heart, my soul. My work, my dedication. My love for acting. My affection for my audience. My years of experience, my inner creative child—everything is in this DEVA. Till today he was mine. From tomorrow he is yours.”

About ‘Deva’:
Deva is a Hindi remake of Rosshan Andrrews’ 2013 Malayalam film Mumbai Police, which starred Prithviraj Sukumaran. In this gripping tale, Shahid Kapoor plays ACP Dev Ambre, a determined cop suffering from memory loss while investigating his best friend’s murder. Pooja Hegde plays his love interest, a reporter named Diya Sathaye. The cast also includes Pavail Gulati and Kubbra Sait in pivotal roles.

The movie continues to face challenges at the box office, but its emotional depth and Kapoor’s performance have garnered praise. With the week ahead, all eyes remain on how Deva fares.
