The ongoing feud between veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu and his younger son, Manchu Manoj, has sparked significant public attention. Mohan Babu’s elder son, Vishnu Manchu, recently returned from Los Angeles and addressed the situation during a press meet, shedding light on the altercation that has left their family divided.

The controversy escalated earlier this week when Mohan Babu accused Manoj and his wife, Bhuma Mounika, of attempting to seize his property. The accusations led to a public confrontation at Mohan Babu’s residence in Jalpally, Hyderabad. Reports indicate that Manoj tried to forcibly enter the house, leading to a physical altercation between Mohan Babu and a video journalist present at the scene.

Addressing the incident, Vishnu Manchu defended his father, who is currently hospitalized, stating, “The only mistake my father has made is loving us all too much. No family is perfect, but I hope there’s still a chance for resolution. My father did not intentionally harm the reporter; he reacted instinctively when his personal space was invaded. It was an unfortunate moment, and I am in touch with the reporter’s family.”

Vishnu confirmed that he and his father have been summoned by the Rachakonda police for an investigation. “I wasn’t even in the country, but I’ll cooperate out of respect for the authorities,” he said.

When asked about rumors that the conflict stemmed from familial disapproval of Manoj’s marriage to Bhuma Mounika, Vishnu dismissed them, saying, “It’s not about his marriage. He got married, he has a child, and I wish him a long and happy life. My father’s concern is that he doesn’t want Manoj staying at his house. My father has worked hard for everything he owns and deserves to have his wishes respected.”

Meanwhile, Mohan Babu’s daughter, Lakshmi Manchu, has shared cryptic posts on social media amid the family drama. On Thursday, she posted a quote by Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius on X (formerly Twitter): “What are you afraid of losing when nothing in the world actually belongs to you.” Another post on her Instagram read, “I just don’t want that for myself anymore, is a valid reason to stop anything.”

The conflict began on Monday when Mohan Babu filed a police complaint accusing Manoj and Bhuma Mounika of assault and conspiracy to seize his property. Manoj countered with his own complaint, alleging physical assault but did not name any family members.

Tensions reached a boiling point on Tuesday when chaos erupted at Mohan Babu’s residence. Manoj attempted to force his way into the house but was stopped by private security guards stationed at the property.

As the family grapples with their differences, Vishnu Manchu expressed hope for reconciliation, stating, “I believe there’s light at the end of the tunnel. We are a family, and families fight. But I hope we can come together again someday.”
