Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2' Records Its Lowest Collection on Monday After a Phenomenal 47-Day Run
January 21, 2025: The film, which set multiple records and crossed Rs 1200 crore domestically, has finally started to witness a decline in earnings.
Detailed Report
Allu Arjun's magnum opus, Pushpa 2, has enjoyed a historic run since its release on December 5. With a collection of ₹1228.90 crore at the domestic box office over 47 days, the film broke records, including becoming the highest-grossing Hindi movie at the domestic box office. However, on Day 47 (Monday), it recorded its lowest earnings yet, making only ₹65 lakh, marking the first time the film dropped below the ₹1 crore mark.
Hindi Version Leads Collections
The film's Hindi version contributed significantly to its massive total, followed by the Telugu version. Despite re-releasing an extended version of the film with previously cut content, the move failed to make a substantial impact. Analysts believe this re-release came too late, as most fans had already watched the film.
Market Performance Amid Other Releases
While Pushpa 2 begins to slow, other releases like Emergency are showing better performance compared to Azaad, though both remain below average in terms of box office success.
