Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s action-packed sequel continues to dominate globally, poised to become one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
December 13, 2024: The phenomenal success of Pushpa 2: The Rule continues as the Allu Arjun-starrer crosses the ₹1100 crore mark globally on its eighth day at the box office. Directed by Sukumar, the action-packed sequel has shattered multiple records in just one week of release and is now set to overtake KGF: Chapter 2 and RRR by this weekend.
After earning ₹38 crore across India on its eighth day, Pushpa 2 has achieved a domestic net collection of ₹726 crore. Interestingly, the Hindi-language version of the film continues to outperform the original Telugu version, contributing ₹27 crore on day eight compared to ₹8 crore in Telugu. The remaining revenue came from Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil versions.
The film’s Hindi-dubbed version has already crossed ₹400 crore in domestic collections within a week, highlighting its pan-India appeal. Meanwhile, according to production house Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa 2 has amassed ₹1067 crore worldwide in seven days, with the eighth day bringing the global total to at least ₹1105 crore. With international earnings still to be finalized, the film is just ₹100 crore short of surpassing the lifetime collections of KGF: Chapter 2 and RRR.
The sequel to the 2021 hit Pushpa: The Rise, Pushpa 2 stars Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, with the story delving deeper into the rise of its titular protagonist. Directed by Sukumar, the film’s massive success has already paved the way for a third installment, titled Pushpa 3: The Rampage.
