Despite breaking records and dominating the domestic box office, Pushpa 2 lags behind Stree 2 in 8th-weekend footfalls.
January 28, 2025: Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 continues to dominate the Indian box office, securing its position as the highest-grossing film domestically. The action-packed thriller has surpassed all other Hindi releases in terms of total revenue, making it a monumental success. However, in one surprising area, Pushpa 2 still trails Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2.

Box Office Collection (8th Weekend)
Even after eight weeks, Pushpa 2 remains a powerhouse at the box office, earning ₹1.73 crore in all languages during its eighth weekend. Out of this, ₹1.06 crore came from the Hindi belt alone.
Footfalls Performance
According to online data, Pushpa 2 recorded 32,680 footfalls on BookMyShow during its eighth weekend. While this is an impressive figure, Stree 2 had a significantly higher count of 44,760 footfalls during the same period in its release cycle.

Pushpa 2 vs Stree 2
The difference in footfalls translated into revenue, as Stree 2 earned ₹3.03 crore in its eighth weekend—an astounding 185% more than Pushpa 2.
Domestic Total Earnings
Despite this, Pushpa 2 stands tall as the highest-grossing film in India, with total domestic earnings of ₹1,263.95 crore across all languages. It is the first and only Indian film to cross the ₹1,200 crore mark domestically.
For context, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is now in second place, with a lifetime domestic collection of ₹1,031 crore.
