January 1, 2025: Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ continues to dominate the box office, achieving a historic milestone on Day 27 by crossing the ₹1,000 crore mark globally. The Hindi version of the film alone contributed significantly to this achievement, marking it as the third Hindi film to enter the prestigious ₹1,000 crore club, following Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan’.
The Hindi version of ‘Pushpa 2’ opened with an impressive ₹70 crore and has since amassed ₹765.15 crore, with estimates suggesting it will soon cross ₹800 crore. On its fourth Tuesday, the film added another ₹7.65 crore, with ₹6.25 crore coming exclusively from the Hindi markets.

This feat makes ‘Pushpa 2’ a trailblazer, establishing a ₹700 crore benchmark in Hindi cinema, a record only rivaled by ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ and ‘Gadar’ in terms of domestic footfalls.

The film’s massive success owes much to the electrifying on-screen chemistry between Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, coupled with Sukumar’s visionary direction. Social media has been buzzing with praise, contributing to sustained audience interest.
While Shah Rukh Khan’s films (‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan’) achieved success through overseas dominance, ‘Pushpa 2’ has primarily relied on domestic circuits, with record-breaking footfalls and repeat viewings.
Despite increasing competition from films like ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ and ‘Baby John’, ‘Pushpa 2’ remains strong at the box office. With the New Year season upon us, the film is expected to witness another surge in collections.
As ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ marches towards 6 crore footfalls, it cements its place among the most iconic blockbusters in Indian cinema history, standing tall alongside ‘Baahubali 2’ and ‘Gadar’.
The journey isn’t over yet, and fans eagerly anticipate more records being shattered in the coming weeks.
