Pushpa 2: The Rule Becomes First Hindi-Dubbed Film to Cross ₹800 Crore in India

Allu Arjun’s blockbuster continues its box office dominance, marking ₹800 crore in Hindi while grossing ₹1,202 crore worldwide.

January 6, 2025: Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, has set yet another box office milestone. Released on December 5, 2024, the film has not only dominated the Telugu box office but has also shattered records in its Hindi-dubbed version, crossing the ₹800 crore mark in India—a first for any Hindi release.

A Historic Feat at the Box Office

On Sunday, Mythri Movie Makers, the film’s production house, took to Instagram to share the remarkable achievement. Their post read:
“Brand #Pushpa inaugurates ₹800 CRORE CLUB in Hindi ❤️‍🔥 #Pushpa2TheRule has a RECORD BREAKING COLLECTION in Hindi with ₹806 CRORES NETT in 31 days.”

However, figures from Sacnilk.com suggest the film has earned approximately ₹785.7 crore in Hindi collections so far. When combined with earnings from all other languages, the film has grossed a staggering ₹1,202.2 crore worldwide.

Cast and Critical Acclaim

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule stars Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj, a fierce red sandalwood smuggler, Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli, and Fahadh Faasil as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekawat. The film has received widespread acclaim for its gripping storyline, electrifying performances, and grand cinematic visuals.

Upcoming Sequel and Ongoing Controversy

The makers have already announced a third installment, titled Pushpa 3: The Rampage.

However, the film also found itself mired in controversy following a tragic stampede during its premiere event on December 4, 2024, which resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman and injury to her child. Lead actor Allu Arjun was subsequently arrested on December 13 but released on interim bail the next day.

As per court directives, Allu Arjun is required to appear before the Chikkadpally police station every Sunday between 10 AM and 1 PM until the filing of the charge sheet or for a period of two months, whichever comes first.

Despite the controversies, Pushpa 2: The Rule continues to rule the box office and set new standards in Indian cinema.
