
"Pushpa 2: The Rule" Breaks Records with ₹1,737 Crore Worldwide, Still Dominates Box Office in Week 8
January 27, 2025: Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has proven to be an unstoppable force at the box office, even eight weeks after its release. The action-packed sequel has shattered numerous records and continues to draw audiences, showing an impressive resurgence in earnings.

On its 52nd day, the Pan-India blockbuster added ₹0.50 crore to its domestic collection, bringing the total to an astounding ₹1,231.35 crore net in India. The film’s gross domestic collection now stands at ₹1,467.2 crore. When combined with international markets, the worldwide gross has reached a staggering ₹1,737.85 crore, according to Sacnilk.

Despite the release of several new films in recent weeks, Pushpa 2 has maintained its dominance, running in over 300 theatres nationwide. The movie’s Hindi version has achieved a commendable occupancy rate of 17.97%, with Hyderabad leading the charge at 35.33% from eight shows, followed by Pune at 32.75% from 85 shows, and Mumbai at 22.75% from 50 shows.

The film’s unparalleled success has drawn comparisons with iconic Indian films like Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Dangal. While Pushpa 2 continues its run, fans have noted that Dangal remains the highest-grossing Indian film with ₹2,200 crore in global earnings.
Directed by Sukumar, the movie, which hit theatres on December 5, 2024, also stars Fahadh Faasil in a pivotal role. The massive success has led to the official announcement of a third installment in the franchise. Excitingly, reports suggest that Vijay Deverakonda is set to join the cast in the upcoming chapter.
