December 8, 2024: Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has set the box office ablaze, crossing ₹500 crore gross worldwide within just three days of its release. The much-anticipated sequel, directed by Sukumar, hit theaters on December 5, a non-holiday release date, and has since shattered multiple records.
According to Sacnilk, the film raked in ₹10.65 crore net from premiere shows in India on December 4. On its official opening day, it earned a massive ₹164.5 crore net. Despite a 42.89% drop in collections on the second day, the movie still pulled in ₹93.8 crore net. On its third day, a Saturday, Pushpa 2 regained momentum, earning an estimated ₹110.58 crore net in India, bringing the total net collection to ₹383 crore in just three days.

On its opening day, Pushpa 2 broke records set by SS Rajamouli’s RRR, becoming the biggest opener for any Indian film. In the Hindi market, the film surpassed Atlee’s Jawan, achieving the highest opening day collection in the language.

Starring Allu Arjun in the titular role alongside Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna, Pushpa 2: The Rule has now become Allu Arjun’s highest-grossing film.
