December 29, 2024: Star shuttler PV Sindhu recently embarked on a new chapter of her life by marrying Venkata Datta Sai, a Hyderabad-based businessman, in a beautiful wedding ceremony held in Udaipur. The couple’s wedding was a stunning blend of tradition and love, and Sindhu shared a dreamy wedding video on Instagram, giving her fans a peek into the joyous occasion.
In the video, Sindhu and Venkata can be seen sharing sweet, intimate moments, including the emotional vow exchange, all captured by The Wedding Filmer. Sindhu looked absolutely mesmerizing in a traditional bridal lehenga, while Venkata matched her elegance in an ivory sherwani by Manish Malhotra. The wedding was a vibrant affair, marked by fireworks, cultural rituals, and festivities that lasted three days. Among the celebrations were the sangeet, haldi, pellikuthuru, a Bridgerton-inspired mehendi, a varmala, and of course, the wedding ceremony itself.
Sindhu shared the video on Instagram, accompanied by a simple infinity symbol, expressing her gratitude towards the team that made the day unforgettable. Her followers were quick to comment, showering the post with love. One user wrote, “How beautiful,” while another commented, “So so adorable.”
For her wedding ceremony, Sindhu chose a tissue sari by Manish Malhotra, which she styled with a multi-tiered heirloom necklace. Her wedding look was an epitome of grace and elegance. The wedding also saw some stunning moments with a lot of heartfelt moments captured against the picturesque backdrop of Udaipur.
This wedding celebration marks a new milestone for Sindhu, who has consistently proven herself as one of India’s most successful athletes. Recently, she also ended her BWF World Tour drought by clinching the Syed Modi India International title in Lucknow, defeating China’s Wu Luo Yu in straight games. This win was her first BWF World Tour title since the Singapore Open in 2022.
Sindhu’s achievements on the court are nothing short of spectacular. She has earned five medals at the BWF World Championships, joining the legendary Zhang Ning of China as one of only two women to achieve this feat. In the 2016 Rio Olympics, she became the first Indian badminton player to reach an Olympic final, securing a silver medal. She followed this up with a bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, making her the first Indian woman to win two Olympic medals in badminton.
Sindhu’s wedding, as enchanting as her career, has captured the hearts of her fans, and it’s clear that this new chapter will bring even more joy and success to her life. She continues to be an inspiration not just on the badminton court but also in how she gracefully navigates her personal milestones.
