‘Race 4’ Casting Update: Saif Ali Khan And Sidharth Malhotra In Talks, Makers Confirm

April 5, 2025: The much-anticipated Race 4 film has sparked numerous speculations regarding its cast, but the producer, Ramesh Taurani of Tips Films, has clarified the situation. On Saturday, Taurani issued an official statement confirming that discussions are currently ongoing only with Saif Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra for the next installment of the popular Race franchise. He further emphasized that the project is still in the scripting phase, and no final decisions have been made regarding the cast.

The statement specifically addressed the buzz surrounding the film, requesting that the media and social media refrain from spreading false rumors. “We sincerely request the media and social media pages to avoid engaging with false news and to wait for an official confirmation from our PR team,” the statement read.

The Race series, known for its thrilling action, twists, and glamorous characters, first hit screens in 2008, directed by the iconic duo Abbas-Mastan. The first installment featured a stellar ensemble cast including Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu, Anil Kapoor, and Sameera Reddy. The success of Race was followed by Race 2, which added John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, and Jacqueline Fernandez, and later, Race 3, which saw Salman Khan taking on the lead role.

As of now, Saif Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra are the only two names officially mentioned, leaving fans eagerly awaiting further announcements. Saif, in the meantime, is gearing up for the release of his upcoming Netflix film Jewel Thief, which features an ensemble cast, including Jaideep Ahlawat, Kunal Kapoor, and Nikita Dutta. The film’s teaser, which dropped in February, gave audiences a sneak peek into the plot, where Saif and Jaideep team up to steal the coveted African Red Sun diamond.

Sidharth Malhotra, on the other hand, is set to share screen space with Janhvi Kapoor in the upcoming film Param Sundari in the coming months.
