The Snow White star’s deleted Instagram tirade against Donald Trump and his supporters has reignited online outrage, prompting fresh scrutiny amid the film’s disappointing run.

March 25, 2025: Rachel Zegler’s old political posts are making waves again — this time in the shadow of Snow White’s box office struggles. The Disney star had taken to Instagram following Donald Trump’s re-election in 2024 to express deep dismay, using strong language to condemn both the former president and his supporters.

In a since-deleted Instagram Story from November 2024, Zegler wrote,

“I shouldn’t be this shocked. But I am. I am heartbroken for my friends who awoke [in] fear this morning. And I am here with you — to cry, to yell, to hug… This loss should not have been. And it certainly should not have been by so many votes.”

She went on to criticize the political left’s inability to “forge a new path forward,” and took aim directly at Trump supporters, stating:

“May Trump supporters and Trump voters and Trump himself never know peace.”

Calling Trump a “man who threatens our democracy,” Zegler described his return to power as a sign of “a deep, deep sickness” in the country.

“It is terrifying the number of people who stand behind what this man preaches… I feel sad. You probably do too. F**k this,” she concluded.

📉 Backlash and Apology

In the days following her post, criticism mounted—especially from conservative voices, including political commentator Megyn Kelly, who urged Disney to remove Zegler from the Snow White remake.

“This woman is a pig,” Kelly said on her SiriusXM show. “Disney, she has to go. You fired Gina Carano for less.”

Facing backlash, Zegler issued a public apology on November 14, 2024, stating:

“I let my emotions get the best of me. Hatred and anger have caused us to move further away from peace and understanding, and I am sorry I contributed to the negative discourse.”

She added,

“I believe everyone has the right to their opinion, even when it differs from my own. I am committed to contributing positively toward a better tomorrow.”

The controversy has now resurfaced amid the underperformance of Snow White at the box office, with critics and fans debating whether Zegler’s polarizing political views contributed to the film’s lukewarm reception.
