Raghav Juyal opens up about his initial scepticism regarding the character of Parvaiz, and the one conversation with Aryan Khan that convinced him to sign the project.
October 15, 2025: Dancer-turned-actor Raghav Juyal, affectionately known as the ‘King of Slow Motion,’ is riding a wave of critical acclaim for his role as Parvaiz in The Bads Of Bollywood*, the directorial debut of Aryan Khan.
The powerhouse performer opened up about his initial reservations with the script, how he trusted Aryan’s vision, and the career-defining moment he shared with megastar Shah Rukh Khan.
Raghav admitted that the journey to playing the much-loved character of Parvaiz was not immediate, as he wasn’t convinced by the role when he first read the script.
“When I read the script, my role barely had any significance. The focus was on everyone else’s family backgrounds, and my character was just a small part cracking jokes. I told Aryan, ‘I don’t understand; I have nothing here,’” Raghav revealed.
However, the young director’s unwavering conviction changed his mind. Raghav shared that Aryan’s response was a simple, yet powerful plea for trust: “He said, ‘I have full faith in you. You have faith in me. I have faith in this project. This character is going to be big, I guarantee you.’”
The actor, who has a “special affection” for the Khan family, decided to take the leap of faith for Aryan’s debut. “I trusted his faith, and I decided to go for it because I wanted to be part of Aryan’s debut,” he said. The result, he noted, was phenomenal: “After the show, it was just crazy. It turned out exactly as he promised.”
SRK’s Praise Lands Raghav a Big Film
The phenomenal reception for Parvaiz has not only earned Raghav public love but has also opened major new doors, confirming a role in one of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming big-budget projects.
“People gave me so much love through this series that I feel very lucky that they are seeing my talent. Not even just the public – directors and producers are also seeing it,” he shared. “It’s because of this project that Shah Rukh sir gave me such an important role in his next big project. So everything is happening for me.”
Recounting his experience working alongside the Bollywood Badshah, Raghav highlighted Shah Rukh Khan’s humility and complete lack of professional insecurity.
“Who could be bigger than Shah Rukh Khan? No one,” Raghav asserted. He then detailed a memorable moment on set: “I remember doing a scene with him, and the claps I got… Shah Rukh sir came over, hugged me, kissed my forehead, and said, ‘Son, you did really well.’ That’s the sign of a true superstar – someone so big yet so free of insecurities, who can genuinely appreciate others.”
Raghav concluded by expressing his gratitude, saying, “He chose me for that role, put the camera on me, and gave me that opportunity. I’ve been very lucky in this industry to meet amazing, supportive people who understood me and recognized my talent.” The successful collaboration has firmly established Raghav Juyal’s transition from ‘King of Slow Motion’ to a serious, in-demand actor.
