This will be their first collaboration with Bhansali since Ranbir’s debut film Saawariya in 2007. Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, previously worked with Bhansali in the critically acclaimed Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022).

The film Love and War is expected to be an epic saga, as announced in January 2024. The movie will also star Vicky Kaushal, marking his first collaboration with Bhansali.
