May 7, 2025: The social media world was buzzing after cricketer Virat Kohli was spotted liking a few Instagram photos of actress Avneet Kaur. This seemingly innocuous action stirred up fans, sparking speculation and leaving many confused about Kohli’s intentions. The controversy took a dramatic turn when singer Rahul Vaidya took a jab at the Indian cricketer, further escalating tensions between the two.

In a viral Instagram video, Vaidya was seen at Mumbai airport, where he was questioned by paparazzi about calling Kohli “pagal” (crazy). Rahul quickly clarified that he had actually referred to Kohli as a “joker,” not “pagal,” and defended himself by stating that his comments were a response to the abuse he had been receiving from Kohli’s fans. According to Vaidya, the abuse was directed not just at him, but also at his wife and family.

During the interaction, a paparazzo mentioned, “Aap Virat Kohli ko galat bologe toh gaali denge na woh log?” (If you say something wrong about Virat Kohli, his fans will abuse you). To this, Vaidya responded, “I didn’t say anything wrong to him. I’m the biggest fan of cricket. Kahi na kahi unhone block kyun kiya uska jawab toh mile na mujhe?” (I still don’t understand why he blocked me).

A pap commented that Kohli might not have time to block him, but Vaidya shot back, saying, “Unke paas itna time kahan hoga sir aapko block karne ka” (He doesn’t have time to block me?). Vaidya cheekily replied, “To bas theek hai bas, humare paas toh bahut hai” (Well, it’s fine, we have plenty of time).

While the drama between the two continues to unfold, it’s clear that the exchange has caused quite a stir, with both sides having their say. Fans remain divided over the issue, and for now, Kohli has yet to publicly address the situation, leaving room for more speculation and drama to brew.
