Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 saw a noticeable decline in box office collections on its fifth day, with earnings dipping to ₹7.75 crore on Monday, May 6. After a promising start and a strong weekend, the sequel to the 2018 hit has now accumulated a total of ₹79 crore, according to early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk.

The film had made ₹19.25 crore on Day 1, benefitting from the partial holiday on Maharashtra Day and Labour Day. It continued with ₹18 crore on Day 3 and ₹22 crore on Day 4, but Monday’s 39% drop has slightly tempered its momentum heading into the second week.

Strong Opening, But Signs of Slowdown

Despite clashing with Kesari Chapter 2 starring Akshay Kumar, Raid 2 managed to “exceed expectations” on its opening day. Analysts attributed the strong start to the power of a successful sequel and Devgn’s commanding screen presence.
