Raj Kundra Breaks Silence On Rs 60 Crore Fraud Case Against Him And Shilpa Shetty

Raj Kundra has publicly addressed the serious fraud allegations and the lookout circular issued against him and Shilpa Shetty, asserting his innocence for the first time. His statement comes amidst an intensified police probe into the alleged ₹60 crore cheating case.

September 12, 2025: Businessman Raj Kundra has spoken out about the ₹60 crore fraud case for the first time since the Mumbai Police issued a lookout notice against him and his wife, Shilpa Shetty. He says he is innocent and that “the truth will come out eventually.”

Kundra talked about the accusations in an interview. He said, “Let’s just wait and see because that’s life for you, and we haven’t said anything about it because we know we haven’t done anything wrong.” The truth will come out in the end. “We’ve never done anything wrong in life, and we never will.”

Businessman Deepak Kothari filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW), which led to the controversy. Kothari says that Kundra and Shetty scammed him out of more than ₹60 crore through their now-defunct home-shopping business, Best Deal TV. He says that the money, which was given to them between 2015 and 2023 to help their firm grow, was instead used for their own needs.

The EOW has put out a watch circular for the pair to keep them from fleeing the country while the investigation is going on. Police said that the pair had to do this because they traveled internationally a lot. The investigation is mainly looking into where the money went and what each person involved did. They have also called the company’s auditor in to answer questions.

Shilpa Shetty hasn’t said anything publicly about the issue, but her lawyers have labeled the claims “baseless and malicious.” They said that the case was civil, not criminal, and that the corporation in question was already having financial problems and had already started legal action at the National corporation Law Tribunal (NCLT). The EOW has called Kundra in for interrogation, and a current source says that the new date is September 15. The matter has continued to get a lot of media attention, which has made things worse for the couple, who are already in legal problems because of the 2021 adult content case and a separate money laundering investigation.
