August 16, 2025: Raj Kundra, a businessman, has answered critics who called his offer to give away a kidney a “PR stunt.” A video of Kundra and his wife Shilpa Shetty visiting spiritual leader Premanand Ji Maharaj in Vrindavan went viral, and Kundra offered to give one of his kidneys to the sick guru. This caused a lot of controversy.

Premanand Ji Maharaj, who has had renal failure for the past ten years, warmly acknowledged the gesture but gently turned down the gift, informing Kundra that his goodwill was enough. But some people on the internet were skeptical of the emotional exchange and questioned how genuine it was.

Kundra vented his anger about the response on social media on Friday.
