Raja Chaudhary Calls Ex-Wife Shweta Tiwari ‘Unpadh’, Claims He Planned Daughter Palak’s Future

In a controversial interview, Raja Chaudhary defends himself against abuse allegations, questions Shweta Tiwari’s success, and asserts he shaped daughter Palak Tiwari’s future.

Mumbai | June 28, 2025 — Actor Raja Chaudhary has reignited controversy around his past with Shweta Tiwari, accusing her of arrogance, dismissing her educational background, and crediting himself for daughter Palak Tiwari’s upbringing. In a candid conversation with Hindi Rush, the actor pushed back against long-standing domestic abuse allegations and claimed Shweta’s rise in television led to “a change in her attitude.”

Speaking on their troubled marriage, Raja said, “Why didn’t she try to resolve things between us privately? Why involve the police?” He alleged that Shweta’s inner circle influenced her decision to walk out of the marriage.

‘Unpadh’ Remark and Palak’s Future

Chaudhary didn’t hold back when addressing Shweta’s professional journey. “Padhai likhai tumne ki nahi hai, unpadh tum waise ho,” he said bluntly, implying that her success was not rooted in education but in opportunity and sudden access to wealth.

He added, “I planned Palak’s future. She [Shweta] had never seen money before, lived in poverty… When money came, it changed her mindset. People forget their roots.”

Money, Ego, and Allegations of Double Standards

Raja accused Shweta of becoming arrogant after achieving financial independence, stating:

“A man never says ‘this is my money,’ but when a woman earns, suddenly it’s only her money. Where’s the equality in that?”

He challenged Shweta’s attitude toward family and earnings, calling her mindset “self-centered” and driven by material gain.

A Turbulent Marriage

Raja and Shweta tied the knot in 1998 and had daughter Palak in 2000. However, by 2007, Shweta filed for divorce, citing physical abuse and alcoholism. The divorce was finalized in 2012. Since then, Palak has been raised by Shweta and has recently made her own foray into Bollywood.

Despite the bitterness, both have occasionally commented on co-parenting, but Raja’s latest remarks seem to have reopened old wounds.
