Rajesh Tailang & Sheeba Chaddha Star in ‘Bakaiti’: A Heartfelt Dive into Indian Family Life

New ZEE5 Family Drama Promises Quirky Chaos, Unspoken Grief, and Relatable Humor from the Kataria Household

Mumbai, India: Get ready for a family drama that will hit home! People love actors Rajesh Tailang and Sheeba Chaddha, and their new show, “Bakaiti,” is sure to win many fans. The creators released the show’s trailer on Sunday, and it soon caught everyone’s attention with its realistic representation of a strange but very close-knit Indian family.

The Kataria Parivaar is the main focus of “Bakaiti.” They are a family that deals with the fun chaos of everyday life. The siblings are at the heart of it: Naina (Tanya Sharma) is a 21-year-old who is down-to-earth and driven. Her younger brother, Bharat (Aditya Shukla), unexpectedly changes everything for her. Bharat is a troublemaking teen who loves cricket and seems to thrive on breaking rules. Sanjay (Rajesh Tailang) and Sushma (Sheeba Chaddha), their parents, observe as they fight and tease each other every day. Like many parents, Sanjay and Sushma deal with unacknowledged sadness, rising stress, financial uncertainty, and the daily struggle to make ends meet.

Sheeba Chaddha said about how much she connected with the plot when she brought Sushma to life: “Being part of Bakaiti felt like walking into a world that’s very familiar but rarely depicted with such honesty. The Kataria family shows the unspoken love, daily problems, and quiet strength that are common in many Indian homes. Sushma made me remember that love and laughter can survive even in the middle of chaos. I’m so happy to bring this narrative to life with a team that cares so much.

Rajesh Tailang agreed with her and was just as excited about the project. “Bakaiti is a story that feels real, like a memory from your own life. Sanjay made me think of a lot many dads: quiet providers, emotional anchors, and sometimes funny on purpose. This series shows how beautiful regular life can be with so much heart. I’m glad to be back with Sheeba ji and work with a team that celebrates the little things, humor, and the messy parts of family life.

The show promises to provide viewers a real and touching look at how an Indian family works, emphasizing the particular mix of love, problems, and humor that makes these kinds of relationships special.

Keep an eye out for “Bakaiti,” which will be available on ZEE5 soon. It’s a beautiful family story.
