Rajinikanth Completes Shooting for ‘Vettaiyan’ with Amitabh Bachchan

Superstar Rajinikanth has wrapped up shooting for his much-anticipated film ‘Vettaiyan,’ directed by TJ Gnanavel and co-starring the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. The exciting news was shared by the film’s production house, Lyca Productions, on their social media account, marking a significant milestone in the production journey.

In a recent post on X, Lyca Productions shared a glimpse from the wrap-up celebrations, featuring Rajinikanth beaming with joy alongside the film crew. The caption read, “And it is a wrap for our Thalaivar! Superstar Rajinikanth completes filming his portion for Vettaiyan,” signaling the completion of Rajinikanth’s shooting schedule for the film.

‘Vettaiyan’ marks Rajinikanth’s 170th cinematic outing and is slated for a worldwide release in October later this year. The film has been generating buzz ever since its announcement, heightened by the stellar cast and intriguing plot details.

Earlier this month, fans were treated to glimpses of the dynamic duo, Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan, as they filmed pivotal scenes together in Mumbai. Amitabh, expressing his admiration for Rajinikanth, shared a heartwarming photo of their reunion on Instagram, praising Rajinikanth’s humility despite his monumental stardom.

The ensemble cast of ‘Vettaiyan’ includes notable names such as Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier, and Dushara Vijayan, promising a cinematic experience of epic proportions. Adding to the film’s allure is the musical prowess of Anirudh Ravichander, who serves as the music composer, infusing the narrative with his signature tunes.

Rajinikanth’s dedication to his craft is evident in the diverse filming locations for ‘Vettaiyan,’ ranging from Trivandrum to Tirunelveli and Tuticorin, underscoring the scale and ambition of the project.

While awaiting the release of ‘Vettaiyan,’ fans of Rajinikanth can look forward to revisiting his cinematic magic in his daughter Aishwarya’s recent directorial venture, ‘Lal Salaam.’ The Tamil-language sports drama, which delves into themes of caste oppression and religious discrimination, features Rajinikanth in an extended cameo role, showcasing his versatility as an actor amidst a talented ensemble cast.
