May 9, 2025: Ishari K Ganesh, the producer and founder of Vels Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies (VISTAS), celebrated a joyous occasion as his daughter, Peetha Ganesh, tied the knot with Lushvin Kumar in a traditional ceremony in Chennai on Friday.

The wedding saw the presence of several prominent personalities from the Tamil film industry. Legendary actors such as Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Sathyaraj, along with filmmakers including C Sundar, Mani Ratnam, and Gautham Vasudev Menon, graced the event.
Social media was flooded with viral pictures from the grand affair, capturing moments of the couple’s wedding and celebrations. Before the wedding, the couple had their Sangeet night on Thursday, where a viral video showcased actor Suriya greeting the couple. Guests were seen dancing to the popular song “Kanimaa” from Suriya’s recently released film Retro. In another heartwarming clip, Suriya is seen presenting the couple with a bouquet.
Ganesh, who is the son of former actor-politician Isari Velan, has made significant contributions to the film and education industry. He established Vel’s Educational Trust in 1992 in memory of his father, and under Vels Film International, he has produced several notable films such as Devi, Comali, Enai Noki Paayum Thota, Kutty Story, Mookuthi Amman, and Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha.
Looking ahead, Ganesh has several upcoming projects, including the films Sumo and Dayangaram, along with producing Genie and the highly anticipated sequel, Mookuthi Amman 2 starring Nayanthara. Additionally, Ganesh is involved in producing the 2024 Jio Hotstar series Chutney Sambar. He has also made appearances in films such as 2.0 and Ninaikkaadha Naalillai.
