Rajinikanth Returns to Chennai After Abu Dhabi Trip

Megastar Rajinikanth is back in Chennai following a spiritual visit to the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi. The iconic actor was seen at Chennai airport on Tuesday morning, warmly greeting fans and paparazzi with a wave as he made his way to his car.

During his trip, Rajinikanth was honored with the prestigious UAE Golden Visa from Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism. In a viral video, he expressed his gratitude, thanking the Abu Dhabi government and his friend, MA Yusuff Ali, chairman and managing director of Lulu Group, for their support. "I am deeply honored to receive the prestigious UAE Golden Visa from Abu Dhabi Govt," Rajinikanth said.

On the professional front, Rajinikanth has wrapped up filming for his upcoming movie 'Vettaiyan,' directed by TJ Gnanavel and co-starring Amitabh Bachchan. This film, marking Rajinikanth's 170th project, is set for an October release. Recently, fans were treated to a glimpse of the two legends on set in Mumbai, with Amitabh sharing a touching Instagram post celebrating their reunion. "I am honored and privileged to be with the Thala the Great Rajni again... he hasn't changed at all... the same simple, humble, down-to-earth friend despite his stratospheric greatness!!!" Amitabh wrote.

The production company earlier unveiled the title teaser of 'Vettaiyan' on Rajinikanth's 73rd birthday. The film features an impressive cast including Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier, and Dushara Vijayan, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Rajinikanth has been seen filming in various locations such as Trivandrum, Tirunelveli, and Tuticorin.

Rajinikanth's most recent appearance was in his daughter Aishwarya’s film 'Lal Salaam,' a Tamil-language sports drama that tackles themes of caste oppression and religious discrimination. The film, which received mixed reviews, stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles, with Rajinikanth making an extended cameo as Moideen Bhai.

Fans eagerly await the release of 'Vettaiyan,' adding to the excitement surrounding Rajinikanth’s storied career.
