Rajinikanth Stable, Hospital Issues Bulletin On Actor's Health Update
Actor Rajinikanth, 73, was admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Chennai on the night of September 30, 2024, due to severe stomach pain.
A medical bulletin released by the hospital revealed that the actor had a swelling in his aorta (the main blood vessel leaving the heart), which required treatment. The condition was addressed using a nonsurgical transcatheter method, and a stent was placed to seal off the swelling through endovascular repair by Senior Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish. The procedure was successful, and Rajinikanth is currently stable and expected to be discharged within two days.
Fans and well-wishers, including Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi, expressed their prayers for his swift recovery. On his X (formerly Twitter) account, Governor Ravi conveyed his support for Rajinikanth during his hospitalization.
On the work front, Rajinikanth is set to appear in two highly anticipated films. One is ‘Coolie’, his first collaboration with director Lokesh Kanagaraj, and the other is ‘Vettaiyan’, where he stars alongside Amitabh Bachchan. Both films are generating significant excitement among fans.
