In an interview with Variety, Hirani described AI as a “great tool” and said he is excited about exploring its possibilities. He revealed plans to make a 4–5 minute AI-based short film over the next few months, adding that the project would help him better understand the technology while telling a story he finds compelling.

Hirani clarified that he does not intend to make a full-length feature entirely using AI but sees the technology as a cost-effective tool that can help filmmakers achieve things that were previously difficult or impossible. “It’s here to stay,” he said, noting that while AI filmmaking is not necessarily easier, it can assist in enhancing creative processes.
