RajKummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor Perform Ganga Aarti Amid ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ Promotions

Actors RajKummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor were seen performing the Ganga aarti at the Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi on Monday as part of the promotions for their upcoming film ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi.’ Ahead of the film’s release, the duo sought blessings, adding a spiritual touch to their promotional activities.

Janhvi looked ethereal in a blue and silver saree, her hair styled in a bun adorned with a white gajra, and minimal jewelry accentuating her traditional look. RajKummar complemented her in a white shirt and beige pants.

Despite their busy promotional schedule, both actors made time to fulfill their civic duties. On Monday, they were spotted at their respective polling stations in Mumbai to cast their votes for the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

Recently, the makers of ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ released the film’s first love song, ‘Dekha Tenu.’ The track, sung by Mohammad Faiz and composed by Jaani, features the iconic verse ‘Dekha Tenu Pehli Pehli Baar Ve’ from the song ‘Say Shava Shava’ from the blockbuster movie ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.’ The song captures the sparkling chemistry between Rajkummar and Janhvi, with picturesque visuals from Jaipur showcasing their on-screen wedding sequence and other romantic moments.

Directed by Sharan Sharma, known for his debut film ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl,’ ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ marks his second collaboration with Janhvi Kapoor. The film also brings together Janhvi and RajKummar for the second time, following their previous project ‘Roohi.’ Backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ is set to hit theaters on May 31.
