On his birthday, RajKummar Rao gave his fans the perfect gift by announcing his new project, Maalik. The film, directed by Pulkit, has already commenced shooting, much to the excitement of his followers.
RajKummar took to Instagram to share his look from the film, captioning the post, “#Maalik ki duniya mein aapka Swagat hai. Shoot shuru ho chuka hai, jald hi mulaqat hogi!” In the poster, RajKummar is seen in a rugged, gunda avatar, holding a gun and giving an intense, captivating look. The poster carries the intriguing tagline, “Paeda nahi huye toh kya, ban toh sakte hai,” which translates to “What if we aren’t born that way, but we can become.”
The announcement of Maalik has left netizens buzzing with excitement. Among the comments on his post, actor and RajKummar’s wife, Patralekhaa, wrote, “Jeeee baat,” expressing her enthusiasm. Filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor added, “Terrific Raju.. keep shining and keep rising.“
Maailk is being produced by Kumar Taurani of Tips Films and Jay Shewakramani of Northern Lights Films, adding to the anticipation for this promising project.
Meanwhile, RajKummar Rao is basking in the success of Stree 2, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor. The horror-comedy has now become the highest-grossing Hindi film in the country in its second week at the box office. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has amassed a total of Rs 453.60 crore net during its second week.
Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik, faced competition at the box office from Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa, but quickly emerged as the top choice for moviegoers, surpassing the other releases by a significant margin. The film also features special cameos by Varun Dhawan and Akshay Kumar, both of whom received praise for their performances.
