Rajkummar Rao Fierce Look In 'Maalik' Has Fans Hyped for Trailer Launch
June 29, 2025: The anticipation for Rajkummar Rao’s upcoming gangster drama Maalik just hit a new high. The actor announced that the official trailer will be unveiled on July 1, 2025, in theatres, ahead of the film’s release on July 11.
In a newly released video shared by Instant Bollywood, Rajkummar appears in his menacing gangster avatar, inviting fans to watch the trailer on the big screen. The teaser, which dropped earlier in June, stunned viewers with his dramatic transformation—sporting dreadlocks and exuding a cold-blooded presence that marks a stark departure from his previous roles.
According to reports, the trailer launch will be a grand event with the entire cast and crew of Maalik in attendance. The action-packed promo promises “seeti maar dialogues”, adrenaline-pumping sequences, and plenty of “hero elevation” moments.
“The team believes that the trailer will take the buzz to another level,” a source close to the project said.
Maalik dives into the gritty underworld, telling a story of power, ambition, and survival. With intense visuals, gripping storytelling, and a powerhouse performance by Rao, the film is already building massive pre-release excitement.
This announcement follows the strong box-office run of Rao’s recent release, Bhool Chuk Maaf, where he starred alongside Wamiqa Gabbi. The film, which opened to ₹7 crore on May 23, has crossed ₹61.20 crore in just 11 days. Directed by Karan Sharma, the time-loop drama has charmed audiences with its blend of humor, heart, and emotion.
