Mumbai, February 3: Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra are set to tickle your funny bone with their upcoming Netflix comedy, ‘Toaster’. The first teaser, released on Monday, hints at a quirky storyline filled with laughter, confusion, and a desperate chase to retrieve a wedding gift.
The teaser opens with Rajkummar and Sanya’s characters presenting a toaster as a wedding gift to a newlywed couple. However, chaos ensues when they discover that the wedding was called off! What follows is a hilarious adventure, with Rajkummar, playing a miser, going to extreme lengths to get the toaster back.
With a mix of humor and unexpected twists, the film promises to be an entertaining ride. Alongside Rajkummar and Sanya, the film boasts a stellar supporting cast including Abhishek Banerjee, Upendra Limaye, Seema Pahwa, Jitendra Joshi, and Archana Puran Singh.
‘Toaster’ also marks a special milestone for Rajkummar Rao and his wife, Patralekhaa, as they debut as producers with their newly launched production house, KAMPA Film.
Last Friday, the couple announced the formation of KAMPA, a name that holds deep personal significance. It combines the initials of their mothers’ names as a tribute to the women who shaped their lives.
