Rajkummar Rao, who has recently wowed audiences with his performance in the horror-comedy Stree 2, is gearing up for an exciting new project that promises to showcase him in a completely different avatar.
On Friday, the versatile actor took to Instagram to tease fans with a striking poster and revealed that the title of his upcoming film will be announced on August 31, which also happens to be his birthday.
In his post, Rajkummar wrote, “Banenge Kya, Batayenge kal! Big Announcement Tomorrow! Stay Tuned!” This cryptic message has left fans eagerly awaiting more details about his next big venture.
Meanwhile, Stree 2, co-starring Shraddha Kapoor, continues to dominate the box office, becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film in the country in its second week. The film has maintained its momentum despite facing competition from new releases, and it seems unstoppable as it enters its third week.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has amassed a total of Rs 453.60 crore net during its second week. “Stree 2 is indeed ruling the box office,” Adarsh noted. The film, which clashed with Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa on August 15, quickly emerged as the top choice for moviegoers, surpassing the other two by a significant margin.
Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 also features special cameos by Varun Dhawan and Akshay Kumar, both of whom have been praised for their performances. The success of Stree 2 follows the original Stree, which was released in 2018 and became an instant hit.
As fans celebrate Rajkummar Rao’s continued success with Stree 2, they are also eagerly anticipating the big reveal of his next project, which promises to be another exciting chapter in his illustrious career.
