
Ram Charan and S Shankar Honor Ramoji Rao on 'Game Changer' Set
Media baron and business tycoon Ramoji Rao passed away early this morning while receiving treatment at Star Hospital in Hyderabad. Tributes poured in from celebrities and notable personalities.
Director S Shankar, actor Ram Charan, and the team of the movie ‘Game Changer’ paid their respects with a moment of silence on set. Ramoji Rao’s remains were placed at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad for family and friends to offer their last respects.
Filmmaker SS Rajamouli and music composer MM Keeravani visited Film City to pay homage. Ramoji Rao, who passed away at 87, leaves behind a vast legacy, having transformed Eenadu into a major force in Telugu media and founded numerous successful ventures, including Usha Kiran Movies, Mayuri Film Distributors, Margadarsi Chit Fund, and Dolphin Group of Hotels. He also led the ETV Network of television channels.
In 2016, he was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian award, by then-President Pranab Mukherjee. Many took to social media to express their condolences.
